...getting ready to take work to the Outer Banks; this one will go to Greenleaf Gallery at Duck. Haven't done the lighthouses in a long time, but am trying out my new techniques.
Having recently taken a workshop with Dan Nelson from Raleigh, I am applying what I learned to some new work. Here is the little bird from the last post, done using Dan's underpainting of transparent acrylics which show through (if you let them....) Dan is a fabulous painter as well as a gifted instructor...learned so much from him!
Cannot wait to get back to the Outer Banks this summer...so look forward to time with Kim at "the Pea" and getting to see all the customers who come to visit. In anticipation, I have been doing many beach scenes. Here are some of my favorites so far....
