more beach paintings....

On a recent trip to Hatteras, I did my usual morning walk on South Beach.  These are two of the paintings that resulted.

Walking back over the dunes, I caught just a glimpse of this beach house. So typical of the Outer Banks. This was later in the day, and the sun was lighting up the grasses

A morning walk on South Beach at Salvo gave me the chance to see this beautiful mist over the dunes. The telephone poles on Highway 12 make you really aware that this is Hatteras Island.
I love the limited palette...

Love the marshes in east Carolina. I am surrounded by them here. This is one of the docks leading to Eastman Creek, where it meets the ICWW.

...getting ready to take work to the Outer Banks; this one will go to Greenleaf Gallery at Duck.
Haven't done the lighthouses in a long time, but am trying out my new techniques.

The sky here is where the transparent acrylics are most obvious....
