I love the swans at Airlie.  This one is a real show off.  He looked beautiful with the sunlight and shadows on his white plumage.

Azalea Festival

On the morning of the ribbon cutting, I arrived early at the McNeill's, and saw the many belles lit by the sunlight in Ronnie and Cyndi's drive.  It was a profusion of color.

Quiet in the harbor

A painting done after a recent visit to Avon Harbor.  It was such a beautiful morning, with lots of sunlight.

On a recent trip to Hatteras, I did my usual morning walk on South Beach.  These are two of the paintings that resulted.

Walking back over the dunes, I caught just a glimpse of this beach house. So typical of the Outer Banks. This was later in the day, and the sun was lighting up the grasses

current favorite...

A morning walk on South Beach at Salvo gave me the chance to see this beautiful mist over the dunes. The telephone poles on Highway 12 make you really aware that this is Hatteras Island.
