"View from the top"

One of my most recent paintings, a view of the Waterway from the top of the ridge before you cross into Morehead City, NC.    I love this one.  It is an acrylic on canvas; image is 12 x 24 .  Gold plein air frame, $1400.

Bodie - "After the rain"

On the drive north from Salvo, I decided to stop at Bodie.  It was a beautiful morning after a day of rain.  The lighthouse was reflected in the standing water.  All the buildings from recent work were still there, so I removed them when I did the painting.

Downed fences

On my last trip to the Outer Banks, I went to Salvo Day Area for a sunset view.  Downed fences from recent storms caught my eye.  This painting, 16x20, was the result.

Bonne Chance

Koi traditionally represent good luck or courage.  Hence the French name, bonne chance!
It could also be bonne courage.   I love to paint water and reflections.

"Sunlit"

This is a recent painting of the dunes near the new bridge on Pea Island.  The setting sun was touching the dune grasses.  It is a beautiful place, changed once again by Sandy.
